User Privileges
Management control is always essential. Within WAVES, editing rights and privileges can be established with virtually unlimited parameters. As in Windows, various groups are established, each comprised of a set of individual users.
Users typically inherit the rights associated with their group, but editing rights can be established with unlimited parameters. Certain editors may only have the ability to change a single paragraph of text, while others may have access to modify any site component. The system therefore allows for synchronous levels of accountability and delegation.
Once a design template, style sheets, and the navigational approach have been finalized, an administrator is appointed to establish user rights and privileges. An “Access Control List” is subsequently created, which defines the specific access and editing rights for each user. WAVES permissioning is simple to use yet comprehensive in scope. |
